Vire Alexander is the embodiment of self acceptance and togetherness. I’ve been told the works are dark and uncomfortable but I say they invite you to connect with yourself in a new way. This site serves as a history to most of the expressions seen.

Something important to me is capturing the lifecycle of art and its many processes. A really good way to do this is by constructing different intermediaries for this to be carried out. Vire is the vessel by which Alexander participates in externalizing his internal world. The expressions that are created in this experience are meant to serve as pieces of reflection for him and any individual that may consume these works.

What’s In a Name?
The name ‘Vire’ has 2 translations to it. The first of which is in English, it is composed of the words victorious and fire, creating vire. In full context the name ‘Vire Alexander’ becomes ‘The victorious fire of Alexander’. The fire that is spoken of here is in reference to my creative passion. With Vire Alexander being the complete return to my creative expression, this name is a celebration of that. 
The second translation is in Haitian Creole. ‘Vire’ in creole means ‘to turn’, this changes the meaning of the name to become ‘To turn Alexander’. The primary interpretation of this translation that I’ve been operating with is that this is another way to say I have returned to myself or have furthered my becoming of self, turning into more Alexander.
